Arrived at a Manchester restaurant at the weekend to undertake some restoration and kitchen cleaning work due to fire damage, the fire started in the canopy because the canopy and ducting system had not been cleaned for years. Compared to the cost of the restoration all they had to do was to pay a kitchen cleaning company very little money, to install access doors and to have the ducting system cleaned on a regular basis , a lot of restaurant’s do not realize that by not maintaining their canopy and ducting  systems the insurance company may not pay out on the claim because they  do not have a cleaning certificate stating the canopy and ducting system has been cleaned.
